Marking Pet as Lost
Add a Pet Profile
Start by adding your pet to your profile.
Link a Pauww Smart Tag
Tap on the Pet Profile Tab > “My tags” > “Tap to Scan” > Scan the Pauww Smart Tag. This action will add the tag to the respective pet's ‘Linked Smart Tags’ Profile.
Report Missing
After adding the tag, tap on “Find My Pet”.
Provide Lost Details
Fill in the Lost pet's details in the “Let's find your pet” flow.
Notify Nearby Users Optional
Check the “Notify Nearby Users” to notify nearby Pauww users that the pet went missing.
Listed as Missing
The pet will now be marked as lost and is listed in the “Missing Pets” list in the “Lost and Found” Tab.
Public Contact Details
Your details like: Phone number, Location, and WhatsApp will be available for the person who taps or scans the Pauww Smart Tag of the missing pet.
Live Scan Alert
When the Tag is tapped or scanned, the user gets a live location notification where the tag was scanned.
Marking Pet as Found
Update in App
When the pet is found, Open the Pauww App, navigate to the Pet Profile Tab, and tap on “Found My Pet”.
Reunited & Cleared
This will mark the pet as reunited and User details will be removed from the Pauww Smart Tag.
Important Note
This feature is exclusive to Pet Owner accounts. Your phone number and location will automatically appear on your pet's Public Profile if they are marked as lost. Otherwise, you can easily toggle your phone number's visibility directly from the Public Profile page.
